Answers: Scholarship – 30% 2.5 GPA Expectation: Higher than the All Frat and All Men’s NSO: Greg Singleton Duty: Maintain scholastic performance to get a degree.
The Number III has been designated by KA Law to be the chapter’s Scholarship Officer.
Poor Scholarship is grounds for probation by the National Officers.
KA Law establishes a 2.5 as the minimum expectation to push each member to excel and succeed.
Excellent Scholarship is awarded by the Order.
These are the Awards presented by the Order for good scholarship.
The Executive Council has established this minimum expectation for all Active Chapters to live up to.
The Number III as the Scholarship Officer needs to be a brother who can best represent the scholastic achievement of a Brother and empower the brothers of the Chapter to reach that same achievement.
The Scholarship Committee, much like other committees needs to be a group of champions for the cause of better academic performance. Use this committee as a Number I or Number III to push the program and move your chapter towards better grades.
The Faculty Advisor is your chapter’s best kept secret when it comes to academic performance. As a university official they can assist in navigating the business and politics of the college campus. They can work with faculty to discuss study programs and tutoring possibilities. This person should be a key member of your scholarship committee and almost the Number III’s best friend.
Finally, the man ultimately responsible for the academic achievement of your chapter is each and every one of you. Here’s a newsflash: you are in college. While that gives you the right to make your own decisions and have a good time, it also gives you the responsibility to fulfill the goal of being there: to succeed academically. Your future rests completely on your decisions now, make the right ones, especially when it comes to grades. Your success is also your chapter’s success.
