Pegasus
Local-Social Search Engine

The best search engine is, of course, is one that brings the searcher what they're looking for.
Overwhelmed by search?
Small businesses have a hard time connecting customers to their establishment due to larger scale search engines like Google, Yahoo,
and Bing overwhelming the user with numerous results that pertain to that geographical area, as well as lack of segmentations by
category, and pertinent social proof reviews.
I found it but now what?
Even though the large scale search engines have local real time search profile pages many times the query includes a map yet, lacks the
details about the business, and the services those businesses provide leaving the user to decide, now what? Do I pick the first business? Is
the right place for me? Did they pay to be top dog on the search engine? Is this review legitimate, or a disgruntled employee?
Where do you live?
With Pegasus, the user starts out by filing out a demographical profile. Entering their address, city, county, and zip code. This will
establish the best search optimization for the given area.
Local Business Search
The user will now establish the type of business they are searching for. For example restaurant, beauty salon, gym, or any
establishment by type regardless if they’ve heard of the business in their local city or not.
Preferences
The user will then define the query further by segmenting items into preferences given their tastes. Similar to filling out a Yelp!
profile with less privacy concerns because no names will be used, only demographical details.
User checks likes
If the search is for a restaurant, the next step would be to further define the type of food desired by using a checkbox system narrowing
down each like or segment. For example, if they wanted Thai food, that check box would be chosen, and all the local establishments that
are Thai would populate the search page by area including the relevant peer reviews.
Pegasus Web Crawlers
Pegasus then uses the answers as a filter to retrieve the best possible answers for the query. Therefore Pegasus will filter those results per
user location, narrow down choices and tailor directs the user to that area and business based on tastes, likes, and peer reviews.
Social Proof=trust
One indicator for relevancy will be people trust the information more as it comes from other people, or social proof.
Social Proof is the algorithm
Pegasus will use social proof to weigh and leverage the more popular search places. The more peer reviews the more tailored it becomes
for users tastes, interests and grows organically.
Credibility
Pegasus builds credibility through peer to peer sharing, trust and social proof. Therefore, nothing needs to be measured except for honesty
in what your tastes, likes, and dislikes are.
“Real Time” results
“New content can often take a long time (hours or even days) before users can find the information they are looking for – hence the search
engines are seriously lacking in showing "real-time" information” which is why Pegasus works in real time, searching the latest relatable
information based on social proof and peer reviews to get your local information when you want it without the wait.
Leave a Comment or else.
After visiting the establishment Pegasus asks each user to leave a peer review about the establishment in order to curate and create more
targeted data within the system. The more comments a user leaves the more targeted the results become catered to the individuals tastes.
Real Time relevance.
In closing, Pegasus is the next generation in real time and social proof search. Pegasus is about relevance, and getting the information
that you want when you want it.
