Sachi Bansal of India proposes an online global championship called "GREEN MARATHON" for kids to promote environmental sustainability. The competition would involve teams of a student and their parent competing in mental aptitude and logical skill challenges over several months. The prize is an invitation to the winning student and parent to attend the CF Summit. Sachi obtained approval from their school principal to promote the competition to 500 students and received contact information for additional school principals to expand the competition's reach.

2. CHANNEL/APPROACH TAKEN :
1. Emailed my secondary School Principal about my idea.
2. I asked her if our CF team organize an online global
chamipionship called “GREEN MARATHON” for kids which will
be an enthralling competition of mental aptitude, logical
skills, overall dexterity for making a greener earth- in which
students compete in teams of two: one is the student itself and
another will be his/her parent. So, will she promote this
competition in her school?
3. The prize for this months long online competition will be an
“INVITE TO CF SUMMIT TO THE WINNING STUDENT WITH
HIS/HER PARENT”
4. MAIN MOTIVE OF THIS COMPETITION: Make kids active and
aware for making greener and sustainable earth.
5. She was very happy and let me speak in the school assembly
of 500 students about this competition. And I got a very
positive response from kids. On request, she also gave me
email ids of other school principals for propagating this
competition.

3. WHY THIS COMPETITION?
1. It widens the Challenge future base to Secondary
schools kids as well.
2. There are already Olympiads for maths and science
but there is no one on “Sustainabilty of Earth” So our
CF can be a pioneer to bring this competition for
kids.
3. It will be an online competition, so our investments
will be minimum.
4. Judging by the magnitude and reach of our CF
Members across the world, we can probably make it
the biggest extravaganza
5. These kids if targeted at high school level, can be
made brand ambassadors to represent CF in
college and that would increase the reach of CF
manifold almost like a chain reaction

4. STRUCTURE OF THIS COMPETITION:
FIRST ROUND
Upload pictures of these 3 activites with your
kid:
1. Plant a tree 2. Make a pinecone bird feeder
3. Make napkin rings from toilet paper rolls.
SECOND ROUND:
We will send a problem statement and a team
has to write a solution essay for the same.
THIRD AND FINAL ROUND:
Involve your class /locality in making a
difference to the environment and present your
efforts and the scale reached.
