3. What is STaR looking at? The STaR Chart is broken down into four areas: Teaching and Learning This area looks at how and how often technology is used in the classroom. Educator Preparation and Development This area looks at the ways in which teachers are trained to utilize technology in the classroom. Leadership, Administration, and Instructional Support This area looks at how the administration supports technology in the classroom. Infrastructure for Technology This area looks at student access to technology in the classroom.
4. What does STaR grade? It grades the level of progress that each individual campus has made. It has divided these levels into four categories: Early Tech Developing Tech Advanced Tech Target Tech
20. This means that there 4 students or less to each computer. Classrooms and Libraries have direct internet access with web-based learning available.

23. Conclusion CMS is on level with a majority of Texas schools in 3 of the 4 Key Areas. It is behind only in Infrastructure. This needs to be addressed as quickly as possible to prevent CMS from failing behind in the other areas.
