1. The Pollett Legacy: Chapter 31 The Disappearance of Adah(or Jess and the floozy.)
2. This chapter begins with a picture of Savannah. Because she is really pretty, and I don’t often play up this fact. Her beauty is different to that of her siblings, and I appreciate it just as much. Bear that in mind before you throw her out in the heir poll stakes. Anyway, without further ado, lets continue!!
3. We left as the older twins began college. Skye’s attempts to raise Charity and his household are useless and there are soon more important things to be doing. Like playing computer games.
4. And practising ballet. For a sim who likes tinkering, Charisma managed to raise her music & dance pretty fast!
5. Skye also has other things to do. “I’d like to buy a potion please.” “What for? Want to make the guys love you more? Trying to find the mythical city on the hills? Got a bad case of the furries when you go to sleep?” “No. Wait. You can get a potion for finding the mythical city on the hills?”
6. “Sure thing. It’ll cost you though.” “Eh, we’ve got cash. Yes please! No wait. Not today. I’d like some anti-vampire stuff please.” “Ugh, that’s what the always want. Never anything interesting. Here you go.”
10. “That was unpleasant but the after-effect is worth it. Thank boolprop for that, I am a rubbish vampire.” You’re telling me? I was the one trying to stop you dying!
11. Over at the legacy household, Adah is bored. “What are you getting up to today, Jess?” “The usual – blogging about music and playing guitar. And maybe some ballet practise.”
12. “I don’t think he even remembers me anymore.” I’m sure it’s not that bad. “He’s obsessive. I think I’m going to see what this mystery note has to say for itself. And I want a new look.”
19. Eleazar is doing... Well, what are you doing? “I’m just strutting, chilling, being cool, ya know.” Er... As you were?
20. And Jess is indeed blogging about music and dance. Now that he can be “in the zone” he rarely does anything else. He doesn’t need to stop for anything.
21. “That settles it. I had a long think about it at work and I’m going. No one in this house is even going to notice I’m not here.” If you’re sure....
23. “I’m not going to look back, I’m not going to look back.” You’re not coming back? “I’m not sure I care.”
24. What about Charity? And the kids? And Jess? “Eh, they’ll survive. They’re all fine so far.” And with that, Adah is gone.
25. “I dreamed that I was in a world made of candy, and I got presented with a guitar made entirely out of gum drops.” Sweet? “Adah?”
26. “Has anyone seen Adah this morning?” “Is she working early?” “She doesn’t work early.” “I’m sure she’s around somewhere.”
27. “What are you going to do today, dad?” “More of the usual, I expect. I want to blog about my gum drop guitar.” “Dad, I swear you’re losing it.”
28. It being Saturday, the kids are expected to study. “This is boring.” If you study hard enough, you won’t have to work at college, and then you’ll thank me. “Yeah, Maria is really thanking you for that.”
29. Jess is even “in the zone” when watching Savannah play piano. “Please, that’s not playing, that’s massacring.” “Dad! You’re supposed to be helping!” “Try looking at your fingers when you play?”
31. “What do you expect us to do, when you force us to work so hard?” You do remember that tomorrow is Monday, and you’ve got school? “I’m sure we’ll be fine.”
33. “Ugh. Why me? I was the one with the fear of getting caught. He could have done Eleazar but no, he had to bring me in.”
34. Eleazar is acting all innocent. “It’s hardly my fault if I’m better at not getting caught than him.”
35. Jess is quite blasé about the whole thing. “Honestly, I’m too old for this now.” You go with that.
36. “None of us have seen Adah for three days.” “Maybe she’s on a really long shift, or she glitched and didn’t get home.” “Wasn’t there some cookery thing happening some time soon?”
37. “I appreciate you trying to be nice, but be honest with me. She’s left me, hasn’t she? For that guy from college that was ALWAYS here.” “Calm down dad, I’m sure it’s not that bad.” “Come on, you know I’m not your dad. I’m not that stupid. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!”
38. A little bit later, Jess has calmed down. “I don’t mind so much that you’re my only child, Savannah.” “Honestly dad, all five of us think of you as our dad anyway. Even if you’re not biologically dad to all of us. You raised us all. Whatever you do is fine by us.”
39. “I had a good talk with Marsha this afternoon, and she thinks I need to put Adah behind me and get on with my life.” “We don’t even know she’s gone for good....” “No, Marsha is right, I should have moved on a long time ago.”
40. “Now look you. You might be soaking in our hot tub with your fancy new hair trying to woo *our* dad but I see through you.” “Sweetie, I want nothing more than what is best for your dad.” “Gold digger.”
42. “You might want to see this, sis.” “Oh, I’m soooo sure I don’t.”
43. “Jess is naked in the hot tub with a floozy.” “He’s Jess now, rather than dad? What happened to the earlier show of solidarity?” “You’re telling me you’d admit to being related to him when he’s doing this?”
44. Crisis talks happen in the hot tub. “Mum has been gone for just a few days and already *your* dad has jumped in the hot tub with a floozy.” “Come on Tucker, there’s no need to be so harsh on her. She might be good for him.”
46. “Hey, there’s no need to be hasty. I caught dad looking at that cake wistfully the other day, the last thing we need is him deciding to cowplant himself.” “Is it Jess, or is it dad?” “Stick with what’s important, Savannah.”
48. “Couldn’t hurt. Do you do thinking and stuff when you’re out running?” “Best place for it. I think a lot about dad. He’s been really hard done by and I think we should try and help him somehow.” “You really are a family sim, aren’t you?” “You’re the first one that’s noticed.”
50. “So we got a bit burnt. It’s not so bad. Get over it, you pansy.”
51. “Ooh, I’m not feeling so good. Wait, where are going?” “I’ve got an idea. I know how to sort this out.”
52. “Dad, we’ve had a good discussion about you and the floozy.” “Her name is Marsha, and we only cuddled. We were friends at college.” “Sure dad, we know.” “Anyway, we’re okay with it.”
54. “Yeah. We know mum hasn’t been too kind to you. (We didn’t realise you knew though.) And if you want to run away with a floozy, well... We’d say you’d earned that right.”
55. “Honey, you’re too cute. There really is nothing going on between me and Marsha though.” “Sure there isn’t.”
56. “We all love you dad. No matter what you decide.” “I love you too honey. I hope being your dad hasn’t impaired your chances at heirship.”
57. “And he was fine with that?” “Yeah, more or less. I have another trick up my sleeve though.” “Aren’t you planning on going to college soon? Tick tock, you’re getting old and all that?”
58. “Keep that up, little brother, and you’ll never live to see your adult years.” “Gulp.”
59. “I’m sorry you couldn’t see me to college, dad. Have a nice day at work and I’ll call you when I get there.” “Stay in touch. And watch out for all those guys after your fitness-honed behind.” “Eww dad. Just eww.”
60. “I hope she’ll be okay. I don’t want her to be like me.” Calm down, I’m sure it’ll be fine.
