not required, the installation of the MAXIMA series is not restricted by location or the lack of an
easily accessible power source.

The MAXIMA series is a completely self-powered, illuminated sign requiring no external power
source of any kind. The MAXIMA series self-luminous sign is extremely reliable during its predicted
life. The MAXIMA series exit sign is always “ON” requiring no wiring or electrical installation, and as
a practical and environmental matter, consumes no power of any kind. The MAXIMA series life
expectancy is 10 – 20 years, as specified.
MECHANICAL SPECIFICATIONS
The MAXIMA series is manufactured under stringent quality control procedures and is licensed by
the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission and the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Illumination
is achieved by using a permanent internal light source. Tritium emits relatively low energy beta
particles that bombard the phosphorus coated glass tubes, this action generates light. Light
emitting phosphors are designed and selected according to their color and light production
efficiency. The MAXIMA series features several glass envelopes (tubes) that are encased behind
plastic housing light diffusers. To reduce chances of breakage, the MAXIMA series features tritium
tube shockproof mountings made of PVC. UL Listed SUPPLEMENTAL TEXT Pictograms that do not
specify a direction, such as no indicator (0), D (down indicator) or U (up indicator), the sign will
show a right facing person. If a direction is specified, such as L (left indicator) or R (right indicator),
the running man will be shown facing the direction of the indicator.
FACE OPTIONS
When ordering a single face, choose one pictogram option. When ordering a double face, choose 2
pictogram options.
