WGC Expands Philanthropy
and Increases Giving by Local Women
• The Response Network raised over $4,800 to help 8
women and their children
• The WGC Circle Team participated in the Iron Girl
Columbia Triathlon, raising over $7,000

interpersonal skills
• Journey Continues concluded with
an awards banquet honoring women
in the community

WGC Raises the Awareness of Gender
Disparities in our Community
• The fourth annual Thanksgiving Dinner helped over 100
families in the Healthy Families Howard County program,
which primarily serves young, single mothers.

WGC Raises the Awareness of Gender
Disparities in our Community
• The WGC Response Network raised almost $5,000 to assist 8
women and their families in crisis, who are being served by
selected nonprofit organizations, with emergency funding.

WGC Works to Sustain the WGC
for Future Generations
• In 2009, 9 new Advisory Board members were added,
including the daughters of three founders
• Advisory Board member orientation conducted to welcome
2008 incoming leadership

• Assisted in the development of a women’s group at the North
Laurel-Savage Multiservice Center
• Recruited a volunteer to run a multi-session financial literacy
workshop for women in the group
