In the U.S., passenger vehicles and light trucks account for: 44.4% of all Carbon Monoxide emissions Carbon monoxide is harmful because it reduces oxygen delivery to the body's organs and tissues. 25.5% of all Hydrocarbon emissions Ground-level ozone causes health problems such as difficulty breathing, lung damage, and reduced cardiovascular functioning. There is no such thing as clean oil, but since we know how to make clean electrons, electrification of transportation unlocks an opportunity to transition the vast majority of the world's energy use to clean, renewable sources.
