8. DISPLAYS New books are displayed on top of the book cases. Students say they are immediately drawn to these books because they are so visible in this location. Current issues of sub- scribed magazines are located on a display rack in the reading nook.

10. VISIBILITY Computers are arranged so that the teacher or media personnel is able to view all student screens from almost any location in the media center. Teachers have really been pleased with this new setup. They say it cuts down on how often students are off task when working on the computers because monitoring is easier.
