2. Introduction
 Bryce Neier leverages his experience as a former United
States Army officer to help military personnel involved in
law cases. In addition to his own practice, Bryce Neier is
an allied attorney (not employee) of the Alliance
Defending Freedom (ADF) organization. Allied Attorneys
are private counsel who volunteer their time , efforts, and
skills to assist in litigation with ADF counsel.
ADF recently filed a lawsuit in Massachusetts on behalf
of four local churches in an effort to preserve their
religious liberty as it pertains to recent state laws.
Earlier this year, Massachusetts Attorney General Maura
Healey issued guidelines for including churches in the list
of facilities that are subject to public accommodation laws
if they hold events that are open to the public.

3. Alliance Defending Freedom
 As a result, these churches would be forced to allow
access to restrooms and other sensitive areas to
people based on their stated gender identity rather
than their biological gender.
The suit was filed on behalf of House of Destiny
Ministries in Southbridge, Horizon Christian
Fellowship in Fitchburg, Abundant Life Church in
Swansea, and Faith Christian Fellowship in Haverhill
in the U.S. District Court of Massachusetts. ADF-
affiliated attorneys Philip D. Moran and Andrew
Beckwith will serve as counsel for the churches in
this case.
