- This presentation is meant to combine the theoretical concept of problem based learning with the practical steps necessary to deliver a Blackboard course based on PBL.
- The problem comes first. not about memorizing and re-producing facts
- We will be applying this cycle to today’s workshop.
- One of the biggest mistakes I usually see from faculty. Don’t Under Estimate the Importance of Knowing How to Use the Tools Available in Your LMS
- probably the biggest hurdle for getting it right. really more suited to education that requires students to solve problems with newly gained knowledge. Google for example problems for your discipline.
- Most online tools for learning seem to fall into two categories: those that show and those that help us communicate and collaborate.
- this is a sad moment for many. Don’t worry your still the expert.
- assess often and regularly. Rubrics are your friend. I can’t stress this enough.

- focus for this workshop are the following five tools. not an exhaustive list but a start.
