2. My student body is made up of 20 7th graders. There are 12 females and 8
males. Two of my students have mild ADHD, but they have medication that takes care
of their behavioral issues. The rest of the students do not seem to have any disorders
that may affect their learning experience. There are 9 Caucasians, 7African-
Americans, 2 Latinos, and 2 Italian-Americans. The whole of my student body learns
much better when they are engaged with one another. They are also very hands-on
and visual.
3. By the end of the week, my students will be able to execute the PEMDAS
steps without hesitation. They will be able to demonstrate the step indicated to solve
problems for their homework and quiz, with 95% accuracy. They will learn it by doing
exercises among small groups, and by doing hands on activities.
4. Monday– Parenthesis
Tuesday– Exponents
Wednesday– Multiplication and Division
Thursday– Addition and Subtraction
Friday– All steps put together.
5. One way that I will incorporate technology into the classroom for this lesson, will
be by letting the students use the computers to play online games and working
together to win the games and letting them compete against the other groups in the
class will encourage them to do their best and will help them remember what order
the operations go in.
Another way to bring technology into the classroom is to use a projector to let the
students actually see how you are supposed to work out the problems. Since they are
visual learners, it will help them a great deal to see how to work out the problem in
real time.
