All About Me!
For writing this week you will work on developing 5 or more sentences that
tell me more about you. Try hard to have your sentences begin with capital
letters and end with the correct punctuation marks. Use the organizing page to
help you include important information about yourself and things that might be
unique about your life. Have a parent edit your work after you answer the
questions, then type on the computer, or rewrite the paragraph in your neatest
handwriting. Have fun and good luck!
REMEMBER:
1. Sentences should start with a capital and end with a period, question mark, or
exclamation point.
2. A sentence should be a complete thought or idea.
3. Strong sentences have vivid details.
4. Your paragraph should stay on topic and have a topic sentence, detail sentences,
and a concluding sentence. Don’t forget to indent!
5. All words should be spelled correctly. Have an adult proofread your paragraph
before turning it in.
Here’s an example of my paragraph:
My name is Mrs. Shelton and I am a teacher. When I’m not at school I like to play with my
son, watch movies with my husband, and spend time with my family. I have a sister and a
brother. My sister’s name is Kelsi and my brother’s name is Jerad. I am the oldest of the
three of us. When I’m with my family we like to play softball, go shopping, and have dinner
every Sunday together. Something most people wouldn’t know about me is that one day I
want to learn how to swing through the air like a trapeze artist! I love being a teacher, a
wife, a mom, a daughter, and a sister.
Turn to the back to fill out the organizer.
