2. The r18 scene is a different one, a sort ‘special one’. Can only be viewed by adults
as it contains of high levels of sexual content, it is highly restricted, and
monitored.
3. As my movie is an action thriller, these
sort of films are based around kids of
these ages. In a 15 you many see Any of
the following:
.strong violence
.frequent strong language (e.g. 'f***').
.portrayals of sexual activity
.strong verbal references to sex
.sexual nudity
.brief scenes of sexual violence or
.verbal references to sexual violence
.discriminatory language or behaviour
.drug taking.

classification/15 )
This is because at this age they have properly
reached the maturity levels, to view such extreme
scenes. But they are limits to how much you can
actually show.
In terms of strong language you may hear c**t and
f**k also it is depending on the manner it is said in. If
it continually said and aggressive it will not pass as
a 15. As it may be a bit to much aggressive for a child
of that age.
It is allowed to show strong scenes of violence, but
not allowed to dwell on scenes of pain and injury.
“Strong sadistic violence is also unlikely to be
acceptable”
Sex scenes are allowed, nudity will be allowed to be
expressed but no strong detail of sex.
4. Jack Reacher is a film that is based on an ex military cop, it is a film made out of the book
‘One Shot’ by Lee Child’. When it first went out in cinema it was reduced and rated to as
12a, they cut two scenes violent scenes. Thisis because they can make more money as they
increase the amount of ages that can watch which in turn means they make more money.
After when it was released on dvd etc it was bumped back up to a 15 and added more
violent scenes and made more appealing to an older audience, One of the scene that was cut
out was an unconsciouswomen being suffocated and 2nd was a man being killed with two
vicious blows to the head with a rock. These scenes were reinstatedwhen it was bumped
back up to a 15,” One sequence shows a man pressing his thumbdeep into his assailant's
eye but this is a defensive move and lacks clear detail. Another scene shows a head-butt,
resulting in a very brief spurt of blood from the nose.”(bbfc site) the movie showed
moderate amount of violence for a 15 as it did not show great amounts of detail of action
fights. “JACK REACHER also contains moderate sex references, including women being
referred to as 'whores' and 'sluts‘” (bbfc site). Overrall in a basic 15 film they show really
moderate amount of scenes like violence and sex ref etc, but they never actually show anu
sort of sex scenes only make sex references.
5. • MY REASON BEHIND UNDERSTANDING THE BBFC, IT ALLOWS ME TO UNDERSTAND WHAT IS APPROPRIRATE FOR MY
TARGETED AGE GROUPS
• SO BY LOOKING AT BBFC IT GIVES ME A BETTER UNDERSATNDING OF WHAT IS ALLOWED IN FILM, ALLOWS ME AND MY
GROUP TO SPECIFICALLY TARGET ASPECTS OF MY FILM TOWARDS MY AUDIENCE TO DRAW IN MY PREFERRED
AUDIENCE, HELPING ME WITH CREATING A FILM WHICH IS PRECISELY AGE. BY DOING THIS RESEARCH IT GIVES ME AN
IDEA OF WHAT IS ALLOWED AND NOT ALLOWED SO IT HELPS ME UNDERSTAND THE BARRIER TO WHAT IS ALLOWED AND
NOT ALLOWED, BY UNDERSTANDING THIS I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT ELEMENTS IN OUR FILM. IN CONCLUSION THE BBFC
RESEARCH GIVES ME A VERY GOOD UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT IS EXPECTED IN A FILM OF 15 RATED FILM AND ALSO
HOW YOU CAN ALTER THE AGE GROUPS TO MAKE MORE MONEY FROM THE FILM.
