1. Level 3 Proficiency: Depth of Field
I want you to view the same scene in shallow depth of field, two different ways, by shooting the same scene
twice: once with background out of focus and once with ALL items in focus.
Step 1: Shooting
 Set camera to “Av” and set your own ISO & WB
 Set LENS to manual focus
 You MUST use a TRIPOD!
 Shoot 2 shots for EACH---one with foreground in focus and one with background – 16 shots total
 You MUST change the APERTURE for full credit; I will check metadata!
Shallow Depth of Field (F4.5 – F8.0) Deep Depth of Field (F11 – 32)

5. Inside person and chair/desk – shallow DOF Same shot deep DOF – ALL IS IN FOCUS!

7. Inside – object and person – shallow DOF Same shot deep DOF – ALL IS IN FOCUS!

Step 2: Grading – put in order, batch rename and conference for grade
