2. Narrative
We have thought up different narratives but
narrowed down to a few strong narratives:
The Meet-Up
The Record Deal
3. The Meet-Up
Similar to the Paris-Brooklyn connection in
Guru’s ‘Le Bien, Le Mal’ and New York in
ATCQ’s ‘Electric Relaxation’, we will have two
performers taking turns and being filmed in
different settings, and the meet-up in the
narrative marks the transition between the
two verses.
4. The Record Deal
The two main characters as a group are both
trying to get a record deal, which involves
driving to a gig, performing, recording in a
studio, gaining recognition from a mixtape
and finally being signed to a label and
celebrating

6. Audience:
• The target audience for our hip hop video would typically be the
demograph of 16-30, due to popular urban music generally being
aimed at this demograph, due to the fact that this generation
have been the primary listeners to the genre during it’s emergence
to popular music
• However, our video may appeal to an older demograph, as our
video is based on an earlier sub-genre of rap, namely Golden Era
Hip Hop, so the 30+ audience may relate to our video’s
conventions more so than a younger audience
• Our target audience will have no obvious gender divide, but as Hip
Hop listeners are generally male (even in today’s era) due to the
percieved ‘male’ aggressive and competitive subject matter, our
audience may have a slight gender imbalance
