Step 1: Open an internet browser and go to http://www.manta.com. When the page loads,
click on the Get Started button to begin adding your business on Manta.

Step 2: Fill in the appropriate information in each ﬁeld, beginning with Country. You will not
see State and City until you ﬁrst choose United States. Before clicking on the continue
button, make sure you select the appropriate relationship to the company you are adding (in
this case, I am the "owner" of Blue Widget Co). Click on the continue button.

Step 3: Before you can continue the submission process, you will need to create a proﬁle
on Manta.com. Fill out the appropriate ﬁelds and click on the Continue button. You can
uncheck the pre-checked boxes the not allow Manta to send you there promotional items/
tips.

Step 4: If you are submitting to Manta during normal business hours, you will be prompted
to call and provide a reference code. If you would like to not call, yet still verify your listing,
write down the reference code and click on the close button. We will be verifying the listing
after we have added everything to the listing we can.

Step 5: You can list up to 30 different products and services. Add as many of products and
services that you have. This is where you will be adding your keywords/categories. When
ﬁnished, click on the Done button.

Step 6: After clicking on the Done button for products and services, the box will disappear
and you are now looking at your business dashboard. Now we want to start adding more
relevant information and images to the listing to make it look great. You will see a "proﬁle
completeness" bar at the top of the page letting you know where you currently stand. Click
on the Add Your Logo link and continue to step 7.

Step 7: A small pop-up window will populate on your screen. Click on the
Choose File button and ﬁnd your logo. Select it, wait for the preview to show,
and then click on Save to continue.

Step 8: From here on out we will be going section by section, starting with the Website and
email section. Once your mouse cursor hovers over the section it will light up blue. Click on
the section to add your website and email address. A small pop-up will show on your screen,
add the appropriate information and click on Save. After the info saves you will see the
information populate onto your listing.

Step 9: Scrolling down your proﬁle, click on the business hours section to add hours of
operation. Side note: If you have more contact phone numbers that you would like to put on
your proﬁle then add them in the more contact information in the category above. After
adding in your hours of operation, click on Save.

Step 10: Click on the edit section to add a detailed business description. There are
two sections for you to add, a short description, and a long description. Referencing
your NAP document, add a short description and a long description. When ﬁnished,
click on the save button.

Step 11: By default, every new listing has 1 category, being Business Services
(unclassiﬁed). Under the Business Categories section, click on the edit link to add up to 3
categories. Starting with your most relevant keyword possible, add up to 3 categories to
your listing. When ﬁnished, click on the save button to continue.

Step 12: Under Business Information, click on the edit link to add pertinent information
about your business. If your company carries speciﬁc brands, add them in this section.
When ﬁnished entering in the information, click on the save button.

Step 13: Additional Information & Green Initiatives Section. If your company has
awards or any mentions in the press, feel free to add it in this section. Same applies to
the green initiatives section. When ﬁnished, click on the save button. If your company
has neither, skip this step.

Step 14: Links to Other Media section. If you have other links that you would like potential
customers to visit, this is the section to add them. When ﬁnished, click on the save button.

Step 15: Twitter and Facebook links. Click on the edit link to add your Twitter feed and
Facebook page to Manta. When adding your Twitter link, just enter your Twitter handle,
not the link to your Twitter proﬁle. With Facebook, make sure you include http:// in the link
to your Facebook page in order for it to work properly. Click on the save button when
ﬁnished.

Step 16: Lets verify the listing. Having your reference code handy, open up a new tab and
go to http://www.manta.com/verify. When the page has loaded, enter in the reference # you
were given and click on the Verify button. A small popup will show after the listing is
veriﬁed, click on the Continue to my proﬁle link.

Step 17: Your basic proﬁle is good to go, to make your listing even richer lets add some
products and services to your listing. Click on the Products & Services tab on your business
dashboard. After the page loads, click on the +Add button to add a product or service.

Step 18: Before adding information, make sure you have selected Product or Service.
After choosing, begin to enter information about your product/service. When you hover
over each area, Manta gives you some tips on each section, follow them while you are
going through adding your products and/or services. When ﬁnished with your particular
product or service, click on the Save and Complete button. Repeat this step for as
many products and/or services your company offers.
