2. Can you Cruise While Pregnant?
A question that you may be asked
when cruising (especially if you
are female) by the cruise line or
your travel agent is “Are you
pregnant?”
If the answer is “Yes” then the
question will be followed up by
“How many weeks pregnant are
you?”
Cruise line companies must make
sure that pregnant guests are
cared for and accommodated in
the best possible way possible (as
well as any other guests who may
have special needs)
Are you pregnant? If
so, how many weeks
pregnant are you?
3. Cruise Line Pregnancy Policies
Each cruise line has its own policies regarding pregnancy
to ensure that you are in the best care possible during your
pregnancy.
While there are usually doctors/nurses onboard your cruise
ship they often have limited resources, but do have the
tools to treat minor injuries and handle minor illnesses.
Most cruise lines will not let you cruise if you are past 24
weeks pregnant or more.
It is important that you call the cruise line in order to find
out if you can sail or not while pregnant and also what
paperwork (if any) that the cruise line will want for you to
fill out.
4. Cruise Line Pregnancy Policies
It is a good idea to get clearance from your OB-GYN to go on the cruise.
Even if the cruise line only requires that you not be over a certain
amount of weeks pregnant, following up with your doctor to make sure
that a cruise trip is for you is a good idea.
