As a service manager at DMM, I have been involved extensively in the development
of the maintenance management software that DMM has created. I have gained very
good knowledge of databases like MSSQL and ORACLE as well as their functions
and possibilities. I have also gained strengh regarding connections between various
systems like accounting systems, inventory systems and other ERP/EAM systems to
maintenance management systems. I have been a project leader in several
implementations of CMMS systems and served as a consultant for the effective use of
CMMS systems for the companies that use maintenance management software. My
function also involved listenening to the requirements of the user and refering them
back to the development of the maintenance management software. I have extensive
experience in communicating with floor level maintenance professionals and
managers of companies as well as getting project ownership and support from all
levels of software implementation and usage.
1998 - 1999 Sudurnes Regional Heating Corporation in Iceland
Maintenance Department at Svartsengi Geothermal Power Plant.
Software implementation for maintenance management system, DMM 1.0 Involved
extensively in the implementation of the maintenance management software in the
power plant and quickly after that I was invited to work for DMM Solutions to do
similare work for other companies.

Was involved in the planning, coordination and execution of maintenance work beeing
done at the power plant.
Project management as well as analysing work procedures and training staff in the
execution of maintenance tasks.
1990 - 1998 Various Fishing Vessels, food production company and school.
I was a great deal at sea as a Mechanical Engineer in this period on various sizes of
ships from small boats to large fishing trawlers, also studying Mechanical Engineering
and being a maintenance manager at a food production company.
In this period I gained great knowledge of many types of equipments, systems and its
characteristics. I was a second engineer at sea only for the first year that I was on a
ship. Otherwise I have been the Chief Enginner each and every year I spent on any
ship, which means that I had high responsability towards the crew and the company
that owned the ships.
