2. No one took
notice of the girl
with the blue hair.
What they didn’t
realize was that
this was no
costume.
3. The more he reached for her the more
she fell away. “Just hold on, Michelle. I’ll
figure this out.” Said Cal.
4. He had asked the gnome for a “big
moustache” but it sounded like “twig
moustache” when he said it.
6. He never knew his
father. Now he finds out
he can breathe
underwater.
An idea starts to form…
7. Whatever she thought
appeared on the
green sheet. Right
now she was thinking
happy thoughts.
But sometimes her
thoughts turned
darker.
8. As they spun faster her father’s feet lifted
off the ground too.
9. Glenn was quite friendly once you got to
know him. Here is the story of how we
met.
10. The skeleton
snapped a picture
of me.
I looked down and
saw my skin
becoming
translucent. I
could see bones!
I looked up and
saw a man holding
the camera and
smiling. What had
the camera done!
11. Molly kept practicing her super hero
moves where no one could see her. Until
one day when…
12. The thing was, anything
that touched her skin
turned that same shade
of deep blue.
13. Others smiled back
at her. But Wen
couldn’t stop and
her cheeks were
beginning to hurt.
14. When he removed his tie, his
feet stopped moving.
He needed a rest. But the tie
wanted to dance. It moved
his hand back toward his
shirt.
15. They didn’t know how long it would take
but they were determined to find their
way back.
16. He carried a reply to their message. They
never expected him back. But here he
was. In the flesh, mostly.
18. “Smile” said Frank.
“I AM smiling” said
Bob. “Now lets finish
sending the message.
Point the antenna
away from Earth.”
19. Sprite didn’t seem to be working very
well to put out the fire. Dennis turned up
the pressure.
20. David’s new bike seemed to love going
fast. It shot down the road like a rocket.
It was all David could do to hold on and
steer.
21. It was Emily who
first thought of it.
“Michael? Is that
you?” The fly
nodded its head
vigorously up and
down.
“Oh Michael!
What happened?”
Cried Emily.
A very quiet and
high-pitched voice
started to
explain…
22. The shrink-ray had worked for all the veterinarians. “Now,”
explained the professor, “the entrance to the pooch’s
respiratory system starts here. We go in through the nose.
Hold on everyone…”
23. The massive chain had only just been
discovered. But already the scientists
were clamoring to pull it up and see what
was on the other end. Jill thought that
was a very bad idea.
24. They walked for hours but the bungalows never got any closer.
Peter picked up his luggage. His sister Alice shouldered her
backpack and they started again. In the distance they thought
they could hear their mother saying “wake up”. But they
ignored it. They just had to get into those rooms!
25. The moss covered
everything. The three
of them had to keep
moving or else the moss
started to grow on their
shoes.
26. “This faucet says ‘Jelly’!” Exclaimed Katie.
“What do those other ones say?” She
asked Stephen.
27. The eraser was
perfect because
it had never
been used.
This pencil
always gave
correct
answers. It was
thought lost by
the Royal
Society but
Alex had found
it in his
Granddad’s
things.
