Agra is a city on the banks of the river Yamuna in the northern
state of Uttar Pradesh, India
It is perhaps best known for its ‘Wonder of the World’, ‘Taj
Mahal’
It is situated in India’s most populous state Uttar Pradesh, about
3hrs of train ride from the Indian Capital of New Delhi.
It achieved fame as the capital of the Mughal emperors from 1526
to 1658 and remains a major tourist destination because of its
many splendid Mughal-era buildings, most notably the Tāj
Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpūr Sikrī, all three of which are
UNESCO World Heritage Sites
It is a laid back town which is also home to craftsmen
specializing in inlay work on marbles. It is also known for its
carpets, gold thread embroidery and leather shoes

and Agra. The Buddhist Special Train also visits Agra.
Road :Idgah Bus Stand, Taj Depot, Ford depot and Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT)
are the major Bus Stands in Agra and is connected to most of the bigger cities in
