2. Bible Blessings Christian Gifts
knows the importance of fulfilling our jobs, or duties,
here on earth. The automotive pioneer Henry Ford
exemplified what it means to appreciate all Christian
gifts presented to us – even cardboard boxes.
3. Thinking Outside the Box
“Do not be like them, for your Father knows what
things you have need of, before you ask Him.”
Matthew 6:8
4. An American industrialist who
founded the Ford Motor Company,
Henry Ford championed the idea of producing quality
automobiles priced right for the middle class. And,
Ford was always thinking out of the box – literally and
figuratively.
5. In one instance,
Henry Ford asked some engineers to box the
transmissions for his Model-T Fords in certain sized
boxes. He gave meticulous dimensions and material
instructions for these boxes. The builders were
confused, but they did as they were told.
6. When the transmissions
were delivered,
the factory workers took apart the boxes and used
them for the floorboards. How’s that for thinking out
of the box?
7. To Believe is to Understand
That’s what God does. He knows what we need even
before we ask Him and he provides those gifts to us.
We may not understand all of His ways, just like the
workers who were boxing up the transmissions did
not understand. We do not live by our understanding;
we live by His promises.
8. Remember this verse from Proverbs - Trust in the Lord with
all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in
all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths
straight - 3:5-6.
Is there something happening in
your life right now that you don’t
understand?
