Email
1.
Doctor Referral
Doctor referral is one entry into the Total Care eco-system. An
invitation email features a personalized message from your
doctor. The doctor would select a set of care instructions from a
database and add relevant information specific to the patient.
This would then be sent as a packet to the Total Care website to
be linked with a user account.

Caretaker Settings
Caretaker settings is a valuable feature that we were unable to
build out in our MVP. It would allow caretakers (such as parents
or adult children) access to certain aspects of their loved ones
accounts such as medical updates. They could arrange to be
alerted if their loved one has not checked in with the app within
a certain number of days or appears to be in distress.

2.
What to expect today
Based on our user-interviews we found that what caused patients the
most confusion was not being exactly sure what constituted a
“normal” recovery from day to day. “What to expect today” gives a
mini summary of a user’s current stage of recovery.
2.
Is this normal?
“Is this normal” uses the functionality of the pre-existing WebMD
Answers database to give users feedback on whether their
symptoms are expected or not. It also calls out a “Frequent
Concerns” panel which gives a brief summary of some of the more
common side-effects or complications (and their severity) that
individuals might be feeling.
