(1) The following people have agreed to be part of the Conference’s Panel
of Reactors: Mr. David Balangue, Mr. Eduardo Francisco, Mr. Jonathan
Juan Moreno, Dr. Francisco Roman, Dr. Catherine Castañeda, and Dr. Luz
Almeda.

Mr. David Balangue, also known as Dave, is the
Former Chairman and Managing Partner at SyCip,
Gorres, Velayo & Co. (SGV) since January 2004 and as
a Partner since 1982. Mr. Balangue worked in the
SGV Group's Korea office for eight years. In addition,
he has been a Director of Trans-Asia Oil and Energy Development Corp.
since March 24, 2010 and Roxas Holdings Inc. since December 1, 2011.
Truly a renowned businessman, Mr. Balangue was recently appointed as
SEC Commissioner.

Mr. Eduardo V. Francisco is presently serving as the
President of BDO Capital & Investment of Banco De
Oro Universal Bank and the President of
Management Association of the Philippines. He is
known to have extensive banking experience in
corporate finance, investment banking, credit and
risk management, strategic planning, treasury, and business
development. Truly an expert in his field, Mr. Francisco has worked in
the US and Hong Kong and was previously with Standard Chartered
Bank, Bank of America, SGV/Arthur Andersen, World Bank, Citibank, and
Barclays. Mr. Francisco is an alumnus of the University of the

Philippines - holding a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He
obtained his MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Jonathan Juan C. Moreno, also known as “JJ”, is
currently a Managing Consultant and Practice
Leader, Corporate Governance at the Palladium
Group Inc., a global leader in strategy execution
consulting. Mr. Moreno also served as the President
and CEO of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD).
Truly a lifetime learner and further honing his craft,
Mr. Moreno took advance studies in Corporate Governance from the
Yale School of Management in New Haven, Connecticut, and the
Australian Institute of Company Directors in Sydney, Australia. Aside
from these, he also took advanced studies in Responsible Business/CSR
from the International Center for Corporate Social Responsibility (ICCSR)
at the Nottingham University Business School in Nottinghamshire, UK,
and the Kaplan-Norton Balanced Scorecard Certification Boot Camp in
San Diego, CA, USA.
(5) Professor Francisco L. Roman, Jr. DBA has been
with AIM since 1970. He is currently teaching in
the W. SyCip Graduate School of Business
(WSGSB). Until September 2007, Professor
Roman as the Associate Dean of the Asian
Center for Entrepreneurship (ACE).
Concurrently, he is the Executive Director of the RVR Center for
Corporate Social Responsibility (RVR-CSR) and the Coordinator of the
Journal Research Group. Prior to ACE, Prof. Roman taught with the

faculty of the Center for Development Management (CDM) at AIM—
focusing on applying competitiveness concepts and methodology in the
development context.

Dr. Catherine Q. Castañeda, Ph. D leads the CHED
– National Capital Region. As Director IV, her
responsibilities include the implementation of
plans, policies, standards and guidelines of CHED to
all higher education institutions (HEIs), as well as
monitoring and evaluation of the performance of
some 325 HEIs at the National Capital Region, the
biggest locally. Prior to her current post, she was
director of the Office of Programs and Standards tasked with policy
formulation and standards setting for higher education for all degree
programs. Moreover, Dr. Castaňeda was also director of the Office of
Student Services that dealt with scholarships and all students concerns.
(7) Dr. Luz S. Almeda, Ph. D is the Regional Director
IV of DepEd NCR. She finished her Educational
Management Doctorate degree at San Nicolas
College in Surigao City. In 2008, she was sent by
the Department of Education to attend a Public
Financial Management Course at JFK School of
Government Executive Education in Harvard University. Her polished
career includes the Most Outstanding Performance Award for Civil
Service, Regional; and the Honor (KAPWA) Award – Region X, in Cagayan
de Oro City.
