Understanding the ProcessThe old Fuseables: To put 4 seeds in the original MPL, we had to request 4 to 6 seeds. Then, within pellets, there could be between 2 and 10 seeds to deliver the average of 4 to 6 seeds. Variation from one pellet to another was huge. Our Precision Multi-Seed Pellets assure more accuracy as each component is sown into the tray in the quantities required: If we want 4 seeds, we get 4 seeds at least 90% of the time. Because some seed can skip in sowing from one cell to another, a few pellets may have 2, 3 or 5 seeds. However, the variation is considerably smaller. In addition, each component is marked with its own colour. We can visually assert that all components are present in the pellet.Equipment needed to sow easily:Drum Seeder size: 30Hole size: 30/1000 in. or 20/1000 in. depending on vacuum levelVacuum setting: 10 to 15 HG (requires a 1.5 Horse Power pump)Dust Blow Off: 12 psiAir Curtain: 4 to 6 psiSeed Blow Off: < 1 psi (barely on) Fuseables Crop TimesFollow crop times according to the latest flowering component. Crop time is dependent upon time of year, temperature, use of supplemental lighting and greenhouse conditions. As a general guide, allow approximately 16 weeks from transplant to harvest for early transplants and approximately 13 weeks for mid to late transplants. Greenhouse-grown Lisianthus that are growing in full sun will make shorter stems then plantings that are grown under shade. Lisianthus react to day length – the longer the days are, the shorter the stems will be. In zones where we have daylengths longer then 14 hours, shading will be helpful on very sunny days.
