2. Due to weekend employment I decided that it would be best to film my video
during half term, as then both my ‘artist’ and I would have the most free time
to film. After consulting my friend on availability, we decided that Thursday
would be the preferable day.
3. However, I looked up the weather forecast for Bournemouth, which was
predicted to be cloudy and quite windy. These would not be optimum
conditions to film as the lighting would be bad and it would be harder for my
artist to ride her bike in windy conditions, and her hair would be blown around
leading to a messy, amateur looking shot.
4. I noticed that Tuesday was predicted to be sunny with a mild temperature and
low wind, which would make this the best time to film. I checked with my
‘artist’ who agreed to take part on this day, and I arranged transport.
5. I also checked the time of sunset, which for Tuesday would be 5.32. This
means we will have to make sure the filming is complete in good time before it
starts getting dark. (although if we can manage to get a sunset shot in addition
to well lit shots , it would make an interesting and appealing variation. )
