5. 2001- Epic Records‘Love Don’t Cost a Thing’ Lopez's second album, J.LO, was released on January 23, 2001 and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. Throughout the video there are inter cut scenes of J.Lo in her golden underwear lying on the sand and on the water, and dancing near trees. This evokes a lot of sex appeal and at the end of the video she takes off her top and covers her breasts with her hands. The album's lead single, "Love Don't Cost a Thing", was included on the soundtrack of the film, The Wedding Planner, in which she starred in. The 2001 film, The Wedding Planner, opened at number one at the box office making her the first actress and singer in history to have a film and an album, at number one in the same week.

Some in the African American community were outraged by Lopez's use of the word "nigga" in the Murder Remix of ‘I’m real’. This video shows that she has some street edge with the use of basketball courts and her costume has a street style. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sjx9oSJDAVQ

It was originally intended to be titled "I'm Good", but was changed because it sounded too similar to her 2001 hit "I'm Real". The video has a very cold atmosphere with special effects of fake cold. The atmosphere symbolise the coldness of her relationship in this video which is supposed to have ended and the emptiness she feels now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88wN0uhoo8o

In its lyrics, she insists that success has not spoiled her yet and that she remains the same girl she has always been.
