2. How does your thriller hold the audience’s
attention?
• Our thriller really got our audience on their toes, for example, the
scene where Jack R is getting beaten up and has blood on his mouth
really shocked everyone this is because its not what they had
expected. The audience we showed the film too said it looked really
realistic. When I showed the film to my mom, she said its better then
what she had expected she was in shock because I told her it was all
real blood. Furthermore, a few of our friends we showed the film too
said they really liked the background track we used during the scene
because it made the film look very mysterious and exciting.
3. What would they watch our film?
• After this opening we would want to film the rest of the film, we want
to film what happens after. For example we want to show the
audience what happens with the package and what happens to the
person that is kidnapped. Also, we want to show the audience what
was in the package and why people were getting kidnapped for it. The
audience may want to carry on watching the film because they want
to know if the man getting violently beaten up survives also, if he gets
the person who kidnapped him back.
4. How does the thriller hold the audiences
attention?
• The main reason how our short thriller opening holds the audiences
attention is mainly because of the enigma, the unanswered
questions. When watching the film the audience wanted to know,
what was in the package? Why the person was getting kidnapped for
it? and if the person getting kidnapped gets back at the person who
kidnapped him. Our film starts with a question, why is the person
getting beaten up? It must be something serious because he has
blood all over his mouth. As they watch more of the opening they
start to question what’s in the package. It makes the audience want
to watch more of the film.
