7. Ismailly district was created with the center in the Ismailly
village on November 21, 1931. The district covers an area of
2074 km². It borders on Guba in the north, Shamakhy in the
east, Aghsu in the south-east, Kurdemir in the south, Goychay in
the south-west and Gabala in the west. The district includes 1
city, 2 settlements and 106 villages. These settlements are
controlled by 34 territorial representations and 67
municipalities. Its population is near 7800 . The landscape of the
district is mainly composed of mountains. The height of the lands
hesitates between 200 meters up to 3629 meters (Babadagh)
above sea level.
The district has a rich nature. The forests are composed of oak,
hornbeam, beech-tree, alder-tree, birch-tree, poplar, pear, spoke
and other trees. Such representatives of animal kingdom as elk,
mountain goat, chamois, deer, roe deer, bear, boar, lynx, fox,
wolf, squirrel, coon, pheasant, partridge, eagle, falcon, tetra and
others are found in these forests.

A number of settlements of the
district especially Lahydj and Basgal
settlements, Ivanovka, Galadjyg,
Talistan and Diyally villages are
notable for their ancient history and
special beauty. Lahij and Basgal
were declared the reserves of history
and culture.
The district accounts for a number
of ancient historical monuments.
Significant measures are currently
taken in the district for the
development of tourism.
The Ismailly city was had been a
village till 1959, a settlement till
1967 and after than he was
transformed into a city.

10. Our School
Ismayilli Secondary School # 1 one of the huge school
building and the best public school in the region is
situated in N. Narimanov street in the centre of
Ismayilli .There are near 1300 students in our
school. It is a two storied building .
We study 5 days a week. There are twenty students in
our class.During English lesson we are devided into 2
groups. We have many subjects at school.

13. The students of our school wear dark blue school
uniforms which are designed and sewn in Ismayilli
Sewing Factory. We have 2 shifts in our school.
morning and afternoon classes. Morning classes
begin from 8 a.m till 1p.m o’clock; afternoon classes
begin from 1p.m till 6p.m.
We study in the afternoon shift.

My name is Ulker. My surname is Aslanli. I
live in Azerbaijan, in Ismayilly. I am 12. I
study in the 7th grade at school # 1 in
Ismayilli . We study Azerbaijan, English,
Physics, History, Geography,
Biology, Literature, Sport, Mathematics,
Computer science and Music at our
school. I study well at school. My favorite
lessons are English, Azerbaijan,
Geography, Physics, Mathematics and so
on. I like to find information about
different animals, plants and countries of
the world. My hobby is reading books and
watching educational TV programme.
 My family consists of 5 people: my father,
my mother, two sisters and I. I love my
family.

15.  My name is Lale,surname is Aghayeva.I am a 12 year-old girl. I
study in the 7th grade at Ismayilli secondary school #1.
 I'm studying at Ismayilli Music School in piano class. Piano
lessons are very-very attractive, interesting, entertaining. I
study in the 5th grade at music school. I can sing some
popular songs, play the piano. Music creates a sense of
satisfaction on me.
 My hobby is reading different and interesting books, play
the piano, go in for sports and etc. I play tennis, go running,
play volleyball, basketball sports, such things love. I attend
English Conversation Club with my fellow students in order to
strengthen my English language . I'm going to this course
because my desire is to know English much more accurate.
 I like these lessons: Azerbaijani, Literature, Geometry,
English, Information science, Music and History. But I dislike
Physics, Mathematics, Geography,Handcrafts, Fine art.

16.  Hello! My name is Shabnam. I am 13. I’m from
Ismayilli, Azerbaijan. My hobby is reading
books, drawing pictures and listening to music.
We have a very big garden and orchard in the
village not far from Ismayilli city. Our village is
Dvoryan. We have bee families(apidae) We often
go to the village and rest there in summer. I
like speaking, reading, writing and listening
English .Our English lessons are very
interesting. We play, sing songs, act out
dialogues, make our own poems, mottos.

17.  My My name is Narmin, surname is
Baymammadova.I am a 12 year-old girl. I study in the
7th grade at Ismayilli secondary school #1.
 My hobby is reading different and interesting
books, cook delicious food, draw picture, design
everything differently. I attend English Conversation
Club with my classmates. I want to be a doctor. I need
to know both English and Latin languages too. I think
some words are similar to English.

18.  My name is Shamkhal,
surname is Israilzadeh. I’m 12.
I live in a green city Ismayilli. I
love playing football. volleyball.
At weekends we have many
guests at our house, my
married sisters come with their
children. I’m an uncle of nieces.
My favorite subjects at school
are Geography, English,
Maths, Physics and Literature.
I like to ride a bike very much.
During my summer holidays we
ride bikes with my friends, we
make competitions. I’m a self
learner of Japanese because
our city and Ito in Japan are
twin cities.

 My name is Fuad. I am 12. I am
from Ismayilli. We have a big
market in the centre of the city. I
often go to the market and help
my dad. I enjoy doing work in the
shop. I also like doing my
lessons, playing with my peers,
go in for sport and meet my
friends in Conversation club. I
like listening to Azeri music
mugam. I like Azerbaijan national
food kebab, barbeque. My favorite
subject is Geography. We have
six lessons at school every day. I
love school , teachers and my
classmates.
