2. JEE 2014
JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) is the new and modified form of IIT JEE
exam, which is conducted for admissions of students in various
Engineering graduate courses in IIT (Indian Institute of Technology),NIT
(National Institute of Technology) and some other Engineering colleges in
India.
Earlier, there were two different exams named, IIT JEE and AIEEE. IIT JEE
for admissions in IITs and AIEEE for admissions in NITs and other colleges.
Now, both these exams have been combined in a single exam, called JEE
Examination.
3. JEE 2014 continued …
JEE is an annual examination conducted each year by 7 IITs and the CBSE
board. JEE Exam is conducted in two parts, JEE Main and JEE Advanced.
JEE Main is the primary and eliminating round of the JEE Entrance exam.
Out of around 13 lakh students, who appear in JEE Main exam, only
around 4-5 lakh will move to the next round. JEE Main is conducted both
offline (pen & paper) and online.
JEE Advanced is the final round of the entrance procedure. It is
conducted once the JEE Main result is declared. Only students, who pass
JEE Main, are eligible to sit in the Advanced round.
4. JEE 2014 Important dates
• JEE Main 2014 Registration – 15th November to 26th November 2013
• JEE Main 2014 Exam – 6th, 9th, 11th, 12th and 19th April 2014
• JEE Main 2014 Answer key – 25th April 2014
• JEE Main 2014 Result date – 3rd May 2014
• JEE Advanced 2014 Registration – 4th May to 9th May 2014
• JEE Advanced 2014 Exam – 25th May 2014
• JEE Advanced 2014 Result date – 19th June 2014
• JEE 2014 online counseling – 20th June to 24th June 2014

5. JEE Main 2014
JEE Main 2014 exam was conducted on 6th April 2014 for paper & pen
based candidates and the online exam was conducted from 9th April to
19th April at various locations in India.
Over 13 lakh students appeared in JEE Main 2014 examination.
JEE Main 2014 exam answer key was released by various private
coaching institutes just one day after the exam. JEE Main 2014 official

6. JEE Main 2014 continued …
JEE Main 2014 exam result is scheduled to be declared on May 03, 2014
and will be available on the official website of the CBSE board and of JEE
Main. JEE Main 2014 students can check their results at following
websites

JEE Main 2014 cutoff will be revealed along with the result.
7. JEE Advanced 2014
JEE Advanced 2014 exam application procedure will start from the very
next day of the JEE Main 2014 result, i.e. from 4th May 2014.
Students, who successfully cleared JEE Main 2014 cutoff, can apply for
JEE Advanced examination from 4th to 9th May 2014.
JEE Advanced will be conducted on 25th May 2014 and its result will be
declared on 19th June 2014.
Only students, who pass through both JEE Main and JEE Advanced, will
be eligible for JEE 2014 counseling.
