What is getbusy? It is a local coalition that was formed in September 2012 among Greek NGOs, industry and academia. With youth unemployment raising above 60% the coalition aimed to enable Greek youth, especially unemployed youth, to adapt an active rather than passive behavior.
The coalition was led by HePIS, Microsoft Greece and Peoplecert; it was financed by the global Microsoft Youthspark program and carried out via the cooperation of: The American College of Greece (Deree College), the ALBA Graduate Business School and 13 more stakeholders and sponsors.

A joint effort by Greek, industry, educational and training institutions, startups and HR agencies,
aiming to motivate young people to improve their e-skills and employability, increase their
entrepreneurial skills and learn about new technologies.
The motto of Getbusy.gr is “unleash your potential” and achieves that by giving free access to
informational and educational material, by informing youth about educational events or seminars
that hold value and by urging everybody to give it a shot and develop that innovative idea.
During it’s first phase (November 2012 – April 2013), getbusy was open to youth aged 17 to
