2. LOCATION – MAIDA VALE
Our broadcast is situation in Maida Vale, which makes it logical for the audience to be
based in Maida Vale. There are a variety of people in Maida Vale, who may share the
same interests.
We wanted to find out more about the people that live in Maida Vale so we carried out
primary research.
3. These are two responses, in the form of questionnaires, from our audience research. The
majority of our responses told us that people within the area, would like to find out about crime
– especially in the area.
It also told us that people often listen to local news radio when they are multitasking, such as
driving or working.
4. The research also told us that traffic/transport would also be a good topic to include so this is
what we did with one of our news items being about the transformation of a tube station.
It also told us that the audience would be interested in sports, and this is something we also
included in our broadcast.
5. GENDER
Our research implied that gender didn’t specify what people wanted to listen to on radio news
broadcast as the responses were similar. Although gender stereotypes differs, they share the
same interests.
Because of this, we didn’t choose topics for each gender.
