This document summarizes the mission and programs of an arts council to improve quality of life through the arts. The council believes the arts make life better and brings the arts to communities through free concerts, summer art camps for children, after-school arts programs, grants for local artists and organizations, and art classes for veterans and the community. The council has provided over 40 years of cultural and educational opportunities through the arts.

students have attended
Summer Arts College with
1238 scholarships provided.
• No child who wants to attend
is turned away.
• Children ages 6-16 enjoy
being part of an imaginative,
fun, week-long cultural
experience.

• 19 elementary schools included
• 1448 children enrolled
• 43 teachers employed

• Individual artists & arts-related programs
• Matching funds provided by Texas Commission for the Arts
• Since 1997, Arts Council Northeast has granted over
$665,000, with a match totaling over 1.4 million dollars, for
the arts in North Tarrant and Southern Denton Counties.
