How do I only search for image (jpg, png etc) files in raw recovery?
Follow the below procedure to recover image files with ‘Raw Data Recovery’.
Open the applexsoft Windows Data Recovery software. You can see all the drives physically connected to
the system in the left hand panel of the software.
You will also be able to see logical drives under this section of the software
· Double click on the physical disk from which you want to recover your data and in the ‘Raw Data
Recovery’ area, click on ‘Known File Types’ link and a window will popup.
· Then click on ‘Unselect All’ button. Then select the file type which you want to recover and click ‘OK’.
· Now click on ‘Raw Data Recovery’ icon to start the scanning process.
· The software will scan for your selected files and will display a tree structure of all the files found on the
drive grouped together according to different file types.
Now, click on ‘Recover All’ or ’Recover Selected’ and select the destination folder where you want to save
the recovered files (make sure do not recover the files on the same drive from which you want to recover
the data) and click ‘OK’.
Once the procedure is complete, you can access the recovered files from the destination folder that you
have assigned to save your data
How do I recover Deleted files?
Please follow the below steps to recover your deleted files:
· Open Windows Data Recovery software. You can see all the drives physically connected to the
system in the left hand panel.
You will also be able to see logical drives under this section of the software
· Double click on the logical drive from which you want to recover the deleted data and then click
on ‘Standard Scan’ icon.
· The software will scan and display all the recoverable files in the tree view.
2. · Now, check mark the files that you want to recover and click on ‘Recover Selected’ Icon or
Select ‘Recover Selected’ from the File menu and select the destination folder where you want to
save the recovered files (make sure do not recover the files on the same drive from which you
want to recover the data) and click ‘OK’.
Once the procedure is complete, you can access the recovered files from the destination folder that
you have assigned to save your data.
How do I recover data from formatted drive?
Please follow the below steps to recover the formatted data:
· Open applexsoft Windows Data Recovery software. You can see all the drives physically connected to the
system in the left hand panel.
You will also be able to see logical drives under this section of the software
· Double click on the logical drive from which you want to recover the formatted data
· If you have formatted your disk from FAT to FAT then click on Advance Scan icon.
· If you have formatted your disk from NTFS to NTFS then click on Advance Scan icon.
· If you have formatted your disk from FAT to NTFS then select ‘FAT’ in the ‘Previous File System’ option
and click on ‘Advance Scan’ icon.
· If you have formatted your disk from NTFS to FAT then select ’NTFS’ in the ‘Previous File System’ option
and click on ‘Advance Scan’ icon.
· The software will scan and display all the recoverable files in the tree view.
· Now, click on ‘Recover All’ and select the destination folder where you want to save the recovered files
(make sure do not recover the files on the same drive from which you want to recover the data) and click
‘OK’.
Once the procedure is complete, you can access the recovered files from the destination folder that you
have assigned to save your data.
3. I am using Windows Vista and unable to see my physical disk in your software.

You need to run the applexsoft program in 'Administrator' mode. To do this, please follow the below
mentioned steps:
Right click on the program icon and go to 'Properties' >> 'Compatibility', now under Privilege check the
option 'Run in Admin Mode' and click on Ok button.
Now, run the software again and you can see the physical disk on the left hand side of the panel.
How do I only recover all my word and excel files after completion of the scan?
Follow the below procedure to add a File Filter for the recovery.
· Select the ‘File’ menu and click on ‘Add File Filter’.
· Select ‘Office Documents’ from the drop down menu and click on ‘Add’. All office documents’ file
extension will be listed in the window.
· Remove all the file extensions by selecting each and click ‘Remove’ other than Excel and Word file
extensions, and click on ‘Include’.
· Now, click on ‘Recover All’ and select the destination folder where you want to save the recovered files
(make sure do not recover the files on the same drive from which you want to recover the data) and click
‘OK’.
Once the procedure is complete, you can access the recovered files from the destination folder that you
have assigned to save your data
How do I recover data from the hard disk having bad sectors?
We would suggest you to create the image of the drive using the software and try to recover the data from
the image. As the software will create the image of the good sectors of the drive and skip the bad sectors.
For the same double click on the physical disk in the software and click ‘Create Image’ and then save the
file to another drive (make sure do not save the image file on the same drive from which you want to
recover the data).
4. Then import the saved file in the software by going to ‘Drives >> Open Image file’. And then perform the
scanning on the image file and try to recover the data.
How do I recover data from a deleted partition?
Please follow the below steps to recover the data from deleted partition:
· Open applexsoft wondows data recovery software. You can see all the drives physically connected to the
system in the left hand panel.
You will also be able to see logical drives under this section of the software.
· Double click on the physical disk displayed in the left pane of the software.
· Click the first icon i.e. Search for logical drives. Then Select ‘Advance Search’.
· As soon as you click the icon, the software will start searching for the lost logical drives.
· When searching is complete, all the lost drives in the disk will appear in the left pane in tree view under
physical disk.
· Double click on the standard/advance drive from which you have to recover the lost data and then click
on ‘Advance Scan’ icon.
· The software will scan and display all the recoverable files in the tree view.
· Now, click on ‘Recover All’ and select the destination folder where you want to save the recovered files
(make sure do not recover the files on the same drive from which you want to recover the data) and click
‘OK’.
Once the procedure is complete, you can access the recovered files from the destination folder that you
have assigned to save your data
