This Slideshare is about National Games Village - Tungabhadra, a 220 unit Apartment Complex in Koramangla, Bangalore which gained an advantage in implementing Solid Waste Management. The Apartment Complex used separate bins for recyclable and non-recyclable waste that was brought from each household of the Apartment Complex. In six months, Tungabhadra had generated an income of close to Rs.1 Lakh sustaining through the Zero Waste management.Out of this revenue generated Rs 93,000 was from recyclables. 7. LEAF Composting
Plastics and paper are separated from leaf litter . Garden waste is mixed with
cow dung slurry and added on the compost bed.

If plastic is mixed with food waste, plastic also starts stinking , difficult to
store in our storage units before sending for recycling.

reach the landfill or burnt !
 Why not ban these packaging ?

12. Every month 220 apartments generate approximately 4.5 tonnes of waste.
At Tungabhadra, only 10% of 4.5 tonnes reaches the landfills , which is
450 Kg !
Tungabhadra generated Rs.1.86 lakhs as income from Sales (2012-13)
Out of which Rs. 93,000 was from recyclables

Benefits of Panchagavya:

5. A thin oily film is formed on the leaves and
stems, which helps reducing the
