How to scale a pdf when there is no scale
1. How to scale a pdf when there is no scale
If the drawing is on an email, server,
memory stick or disc, first save a
copy to Documents on the computer
you are working on.
In QuickScale, click Open and find
the pdf in Documents.
Don’t use any pdf viewers or any
other software to view the drawing.
2. When you first open a drawing, note the “traffic light” across the
top.
This will start off red and turn amber then green as you scale the
drawing.
When you get the green stripe, you will know that your drawing is
scaled and you can begin measuring.
3. Click on Zoom In
then click on your
drawing to enlarge it
and find a known
measurement.
Use Select or the
scroll bars to move
around the drawing
and find the
measurement.
Use door widths,
floor or ceiling tiles,
parking spaces or
anything you know
the measurement of.
11. The “traffic light” will turn green and tell you that the Scale is confirmed.
12. You may wish to save your drawing now so that you do not have to calibrate
the drawing next time you open it.
You are now ready to measure or print the drawing to scale.
