                  The CGCE is a network of 20 Canadian NGOs, universities, and teachers unions whose goal
                  is to support forms of research and policy dialogue that can encourage a sustained role for
                  democratic engagement in the governance of education in developing countries.

                  My responsibilities in this organization include: Leadership of a steering committee
                  comprised of representatives from 8 member organizations; oversight of staff (one full time,
                  plus many volunteers and consultants) and a budget of $120,000; strategic planning of
                  education, outreach and advocacy initiatives; development of strategic initiatives with
                  parliamentarians, key policy makers.
