Govt. Engineering Colleges Karad, Chandrapur and Jalgaon. If the UGC awards
Autonomy to these colleges, then the fees of these colleges shall be as per the fees
for Govt. and Govt. Aided Autonomous Institutes mentioned above. Otherwise the
fees of these Govt. Colleges will remain same as that of Govt. Engineering colleges.

The Institute should update the information of
the reported candidates, allotted under CAP “Online update” when a candidate is
reporting to the Institute.
Rounds of admission for Institute Level Seats and for the seats remaining vacant after
CAP should be carried out separately and it should be clearly displayed on the Notice

All the institutes are required to complete their admission process on or
before as specified in the schedule. Any admission carried out after cut off date
will not be approved by DTE and/or Pravesh Niyantran Samiti, Mumbai.
10 Miscellaneous:
The medium of instruction for degree course in Engineering/Technology in all the
Universities is English.

for the ‘ Merit cum Means Based Scholarship Scheme’ of Government of India. The

Important Instructions
1. The Sanctioned Intake indicated against each institute is as per the AICTE approval
for the academic year 2013‐14.
2. New Institutes/ Closure of course/Variation in the sanctioned intake, if any, for the
year 2014‐15, will be notified on the website
http://www.dtemaharashtra.org.in/fe2014
3. If any new Engineering/Technology institute is approved by AICTE, then the policy
of the State Government in this regard will be implemented and accordingly new
choice code of such institute will be made available while filling the option form.
4. The status of Minority indicated against certain institutes is as per the Government
Orders for the academic year 2013‐14. The updated status of Minority shall be
available at the time of submission of option form.
5. For detail information of the Engineering/Technology institutes, please refer the
website of the concerned Institutes.
6. Final allotment of seats will be made on the basis of corrected intake capacity as
approved by AICTE/State Government for the year 2014‐2015.
7. The choice code under title “TFWS Choice Code” is given for Additional Seats
available for admission through CAP under the seats against AICTE’s Tuition Fee
Waiver Scheme except for courses offered under Second Shift. The candidates
should read the Rules and Features of the scheme before opting for these choice
codes.  Such choice codes are indicated with suffix ‘T’.
8. Pursuant to order passed by Hon. High Court of Bombay, it is hereby notified that
General Choice Code is now made available to Petitioner‐College and its courses. It
is however made clear that the entitlement to receive reimbursement of fees in
accordance with the policy prescribed by the State Government and also subject to
final outcome of the above Writ Petition. Such choice codes are indicated with suffix
‘N’.
9. The choice codes for the courses in Womens’ Colleges are indicated with suffix ‘F’.
