 Sound waves move
from their source and
make matter around
them vibrate.
 The shape of your
outer ear directs the
sound to your inner
ear, like a funnel
directs material from
one place to another.

 Sound waves
move through
your ear to get
the sound
messages to your
brain.

4. The Eardrum
 Sound waves hit a thin
skin called the
eardrum causing it to
vibrate.
