Purpose Assess Substances that cause Neurological Stress Detoxifies the Body Boosts the Immune System Therapy System for Alleviating Symptoms with: Allergies Asthma Headaches & Migraines GI disorders Skin Irritations Reduction of Pain & Inflammation
How does it work?
Consists of 4 Core components Testing/Meridian Energy Stress Assessments (MESA) Technology Low Level Light Therapy Harmonic Imprinting Homeopathy, Nutrition & Herbal Supplementation
1. Testing/MESA Technology A five minute procedure using an arm-cuff and the body’s biofeedback The skin level reading is a noninvasive and painless EDS (Electro Dermal Scan) that is performed to isolate exactly what the patient is hypersensitive to
How Does the scan work? The scan measures impedance within electrical circuitry in the body It is based on the body’s reaction to certain stresses that impact the body’s electrical conductivity The system uses frequencies to mimic substances, in which AURA evaluates the neurological stress reactions during exposure AURA has over 100,000 substance frequencies
How does the SCAN work? Reaction to any of these substance frequencies could indicate: Allergy Sensitivity (Chemical or Food) Intolerance Deficiency Temporary Neurological Stress
2. Low Level Light Therapy After the scan, the LLLT is used to re-condition the body’s reaction to stress LLLT is used as a carrier medium to induct digital frequencies and information the body can use to restore balance The light is presented on the appropriate acupoints to redirect the flow of energy and reduce specific substance responses
LLLT Therapy The lasers are designed for photobiomodulation Based on Einstein’s concept of “Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission” Involves the application of photic energy to acupuncture points/tissues Lasers are applied to either the: Location of the symptom(s) Ear for Auricular Therapy Spine, Hands, Elbows & Feet
LLLT Therapy The physiological effect of LLLT is based on Neuroplasticity Red Induction & Pulse Lasers at 630nm are utilized to stimulate Chromophores, creating a measurable biological effect Ionizing effects of LLLT also increase oxygen in the blood and blood flow to promote detoxification Photon Energy increases protein synthesis and cellular mitosis to promote healing Biological Amplification causes systemic results
LLLT Therapeutic Effects Pain relief from the increase in serotonin and endorphin release (Sumano et al., 1987) Immune-modulation and mitigation of the inflammatory response by preventing release of inflammatory mediators (Amano, 1994) Vasodilatation and increased microcirculation promotes rapid return to homeostasis and healing (Sumano et al., 1987; Rozenbom, 1995)
LLLT Therapeutic Effects cont.d The inappropriate histamine response is broken down by the: Release of endorphins and serotonin Substance specific stimuli Results in the alleviation and elimination of symptoms by external contaminants
3. Harmonic Imprinting Allows customizing the therapy to each patient This phase is used to support organ and system function and Promoting detoxification to further the energy balancing process
4. Homeopathy, Nutrition & Herbal Supplementation Supplementation process focuses on: Adding Nutrients Improving Nutrient Absorption Promoting Hydration Alleviating Symptoms Homeopathic Supplements: Cor-Tex Cell Trace Max B ReHydrate Stop! Bio Identical Metatonin Reset! **All products are Whole Foods Based
Integrated Protocols The AURA PTL II Clinical System includes over (50) fully integrated protocols which include: Sensitivity for alleviating the inappropriate stress response to external substances Just Stop! for smoking cessation Lose It! Weight management program Sleep & Rest Energy & Performance
Visit Information The average protocol requires approximately 9 – 12 patient visits The average patient visit will consist of one or two Low Level Light Therapy (LLLT) sessions of 3-5 minutes each Total patient time per visit is less than 10 minutes Most practitioners charge anywhere from $50 – $125 per patient visit.
Development of Bax AURA Heliotherapy (light therapy) was practiced by physicians in ancient cultures in Egypt, Greece, China, and India to address many conditions In the 1660s, Isaac Newton separated light with a prism and discovered the visible spectrum In the 1890s, a Danish physician, Dr Niels Finsen, pioneered light therapy, treating: tubercular skin lesions lupus vulgaris scar formation from smallpox
Development of Bax AURA Additional theories that aided in the development of light therapy: The Color Theory The Photoelectric Effect by Hertz The Theory of Light by Albert Einstein The Corpuscular Theory of Light by Albert Einstein Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) theory states that Qi, the living force of life, enters the body through the pineal organ in the form of light As light plays a role in regulating and maintaining health in the human body, applying to acupuncture seemed natural
safe, gentle, non-invasive and holistic As per BioVeda Technologies: LLLT is non-heat emitting, extremely safe, non-invasive, has no contraindications for use and no known side effects The Homeopathy protocols are FDA registered, with no side effects, safe and mild by comparison to its pharmaceutical cousins, highly effective and have no contraindications with restricted diets or conventional medications All nutrition, herbal and enzyme products are for support of structure and function and use the finest ingredients available
Theoretical Safety Issues There is potential retinal damage if the laser accidentally was directed through the lens of the eye Protective goggles should be worth by both the patient and physician that filter out the specific wavelength of the laser light An understanding of the characteristics of the laser beam (i.e. optics) also influence the level of risk
FDA Approved AURA PTL II is FDA registered with intended use for the reduction of chronic or acute pain and inflammation The FDA classifies low-level lasers as class IIIB non-significant risk devices BioVeda is independently registered with the FDA to label and market homeopathic OTC medications, nutrition and supplements All homeopathic products have indications for intended use and approval for treatment of patient symptoms and conditions All products meet guidelines and standards for GMP.
Health Care Providers The AURA PTL II Clinical System was designed for a broad range of health care providers, such as: Chiropractors Naturopaths Acupuncturists MD’s DO’s Nurse Practitioners Other Holistic Practitioners
Marketing to Physicians “Over 2/3rd of the U.S. Population would benefit from our Therapy.” “Provide care for more than 50 Million Americans Suffering from Allergies; provide care for another 15 Million more suffering from Asthma.” “An estimated 12 Million American Suffer from Food Specific Allergies.” “Acquire New Patients you would never have seen before!” “Patients will pay anything for Relief.”
Training for Providers All training for the AURA PTL II Clinical System is done online via webinar “You can learn from the convenience of your home or office!” The AURA PTL II Clinical System does not utilize energetic assessment Assessment is based on a standardized set of patient intake forms
Practitioner testimonial “WOW! This is amazing! The equipment is superb and the software that runs with it is easy to use and very versatile.   The scanning cuff is very comfortable on the patient and it scans very quickly.   I really like the fact that the software gives me multiple factors on each substance being scanned so I can choose which items within each group to reprogram for, rather than just 2 items maximum per group!”
Synopsis of peer-reviewed literature Evidence exists on the profound therapeutic benefits of LLLT on wound healing and bacteria; however, the existence of double-blind randomized control trialsbased on the effects of LLLT on biological systems, as marketed by BioVeda is not readily found.
Proposed Theoretical Trial A double-blinded randomized control study will examine the effects of symptom relief of dietary food sensitivities and the therapeutic effects of BAX-AURA in comparison to a Diet Elimination diet. Two groups of 60 individuals will undergo IgE and IgG blood tests to evaluate known antibody reactions to particular food substances. Both groups will also undergo Part I of the BAX-AURA system MESA scan to also evaluate for proposed food sensitivities to create a baseline of food sensitivities.
Proposed Theoretical Trial Group 1 will undergo the rest of the BAX-AURA therapy including LLLT and Homeopathic intervention for the estimated protocol of 9-12 visits over a period of 3 months Group 2 will initiate a Diet elimination modification, in which the foods listed off the IgE and IgG antibodies and MESA scan will be eliminated, for a trial of 3 months Outcome measures will be based on subjective history and questionnaires of symptom relief at the onset of the trial and at the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd month intervals
Patient Selection Criteria BAX AURA markets to a vast patient population of individuals with a myriad of symptoms, from: allergies, asthma, chronic pain, weight loss and smoking cessation. In today’s society, there is large population base with the aforementioned conditions, thus BAX-AURA markets to the majority of North Americans This author proposes that this therapy is extremely non-specific
