1. LOCATION
PARIS is the capital and the largest city of
France. The river Seine divides the north from
the south of Paris. Paris is the world’s fashion
centre and also one of the best- preserved
centres in Europe.

2. • HISTORY
• Paris was the centre stage for the French
Revolution, with the storming of the Bastille
on 14 july1789. Napoleon Bonaparte was a
military and political leader.
• He reformed the French educational and
monetary system and established the Bank of
France.

3. • PLACES TO VISIT
• There are many nice places to visit such as the
Eiffel Tower, Triumph Arch, the Cathedral Notre –
Dame, Virgin’s Portal, the Pont Neuf as one of the
oldest bridges in Paris, the National Museum, the
Louvre Pyramid and many other places.

• The most popular destination is Disneyland.
There have a big park and Beauty’s Castle and Big
Thunder Mountain gives a screaming good ride.

4. • CULTURE AND FESTIVALS
• French culture is very old. Fashion today was inspired by a wider range of
many brands in accessories, perfumes and cosmetics. The most popular
ones are Dior, Givenchy and Chloe.

• The Festival of the Imaginary (Festival de l'Imaginaire) is a multicultural
melting pot celebration of mask dancing, puppetry, drama and other
visual performances. It is usually held in early Spring, at the Maison des
Cultures du Monde, and features performers from around the world.
• Later in the year, you can enjoy the Festival d'Automne which actually
spans a four month period, and celebrates theatre, film, dance and the
performing arts. The program is rich in variety, and each year highlights a
country whose artistic performers may not have had the opportunity to be
experienced by broader audiences.

5. • RESTAURANTS AND FOOD
• Love for food and wine are natural for French
people. Each region in France has its food
specialities. The first cafe–restaurant ever
opened was ‘Le Prokope’ in 1686.
• Paris offers lots of different cuisines such as
Asian, Indian, Middle Eastern and other
international ones. Parisians eat lunch at noon
and take their dinner late around 8 o’clock.
