5. Why ERP????
In today's world, Information drives business.
With the advent of technology, we have
enourmous amount of REAL TIME DATA.
So think about the potential of using this Real
Time Data, to drive your business??

Management can make decisions faster and
with fewer errors.
Data becomes visible across the organization,
transparency.
Sales forecasting, which allows inventory
optimization.
ERP systems centralize business data
Provides a comprehensive enterprise view
7.
8. Some more benifits..
ERP can greatly improve quality and efficiency
of the business.
ERP supports upper level management,
providing critical decision making information.
ERP creates a more agile company that better
adapts to change.
ERP provides increased opportunities for
collaboration.
9. Case Study
To portray, how the adoption of ERP, solidifies
and make a company's internal system more
robust, we'll take a case study here.
10.
11. Things to check before
implementing ERP
ERP software vendor should be certified.
ERP software should meet your need.
Should not be too expensive and useless for
you.
Should contains all necessary modules you
need.
Extensiveness
Scalability
12. Let's take a small example...
I work at Digiteria.net, an online web-solution
provider.
We get several orders/client request.
Includes SRS, Static Websites Specifications
and Customized and specific requests.
Suppose a client 'A' sends a request at my
company's email id, stating his requirement and
asks for cost estimation.
13. Now the headache starts!!
We do all the math, cost estimation and
approximation, now again we send him the email[as a response].
He asks for some changes.
The whole process is again reiterated.
Finally the project starts.
14. BUT....
Just before the delivery, client sends us one
more request, and did not want to apply the
earlier changes.
NOW WHAT DO WE DO???
The whole team is doomed!! As the process
have to be started again
DEVELOPER? DESIGNER? BACKEND?
FRONTEND?
15. But if we use ERP ...
ERP software will allow us to track user needs
on the go.
ERP systems connect to real–time data and
transaction data in a variety of ways.
Bring unique knowledge on process,
equipment, and vendor solutions.
Direct integration
Custom–integration solutions
17. For some muggles!! [not to be
taken seriously]
For those who aren't familiar what is Drupal?
Drupal is an open source CMS.
It's distributed under the terms of the GNU
General Public License (or "GPL"), which means
anyone is free to download it, modify it and
share it with others.
The most extensible and robust CMS available
till date.
The Drupal project's principles encourage
modularity, standards, collaboration, ease-ofuse, and more.
18. Live Demo
I am going to present you the live demo of the
ERP software which is based over Drupal,
called the ERPAL.
ADVANTAGES :For the example and case study we are
taking it is apt for that.
Open Source
Customizable
Extensible
