How to choose golf accessories
1. How to Choose Golf Accessories
If you are planning to purchase the golf accessories, then you should know some tips
about how to select the golf accessories that fits your need.
If you are playing for the first time it is important to start with the basics. A light
carry bag will often be sufficient if you only want to take a few clubs, a scorecard and
pencil plus a set of balls and tees. If you find you need more you can always choose a
larger 14 club staff bag or cart bag.
Another consideration is the type of bag you have. If you have a smaller carry bag you
will be restricted in terms of the amount of items that you will be able to take with
you around the course. Therefore it is important to consider what items will be the
most useful for you.
1. As a beginner, consider taking lessons from a golf pro right from the start.
This can help eliminate some of the early frustration and bad habits that are
hard to break later. Everyone has a golf tip for you but it may not be the
proper form and technique to help shape your golf game.
2. IRONS: Numbered 2 through 9. Each iron club as a different angle. The lower
the number - the farther the club should hit. Each iron is angled beginning
from 18 degrees with the 2-iron. Each iron angle is increased 4 degree and
the shaft is reduced for each number it goes up. Higher the number the
higher the loft. Traditionally, an iron has most of its weight centered in the
middle of the clubface. This area is often called the 'sweet spot'. This is where
you would hope to strike the ball for optimum strike. When used correctly, an
iron offers a high amount of precision.
3. WOODS: Woods are numbered from 1 to 5. The 1-Wood is also called the
Driver. Lower numbered woods typically hit the ball further but not as high
in the air. A higher numbered club will increas the backspin on the ball,
reducing the roll on the ball when it finally lands.
2. If you think there is a way that you could get cheaper golf accessories, then you
should certainly take advantage of this. You might be able to find the same exact
accessory for half as much. If you have golfing buddies who tend to go through
accessories at a high turnover rate, you should ask them if they have anything that
they would be willing to part with for a fair price. You might luck out and get it for
free. Even if you just get it for a discounted rate, it is still better than paying full price.
Golf accessories can put a huge hole in your wallet if you’re not careful, so it’s good to
take advantage of these opportunities when they arise.
Instead of just going for the most expensive accessory whenever you see something
that strikes your interest, you should take a more cool and calculated approach to the
purchase. Do everything that I have mentioned so far in order to make sure that you
really want and need the item, and then do what you can to get the best deal possible
on the golf accessory. You will save plenty of money in the long run for it to be worth
the effort.
