1. Audience: 20-35 year old English speaking I inserted this image and used “Gradient”
to change the amount of black and white
adults. on the picture to blend with the black
Purpose: To gain awareness for Helping Hand background of a different layer.
Saigon and attract volunteers. To match colors of my font and logo, I
used Color Picker, and to add the
logo’s and fonts, I used Magic Wand.
The original fonts were black on the
outside, and white on the inside, so
after color picking and Color Filling, I
used Invert Colors to fit my Black and
White theme
Every individual piece of
text and imagery is in a
different Layer.
When I finished my poster, I
used Flatten to create on
single image of the poster.
I zoomed it quite a
lot, used the Select
tool and then Color
Filled the part

2. I chose the main color scheme of the poster to be black
and white because I am aiming to bring sadness to the
audience reading/seeing the poster. Black and white
brings a sense of grimness and stillness, along with a
glint of sadness.
I chose this image because it is black and white, fitting
my color scheme, and it also brings a sense of sadness
in the eyes of the child. This image also represents the
people helped by Helping Hand Saigon.
I made the logo and website smaller because
they are not as important as the other
text, and for audience who actually wants to
know more, to look carefully. The word “hand”
is bigger because it is the focal point
I balanced out the fonts and logo, the
poster is simple because I only add 6
different objects.
The focal point of my poster is the word
“hand”, because it is blue, which is contrasts the
black and white of the rest of the poster. This
attracts attention.
