2. Liberty Footwear enters telecom; to offer WiMax Liberty Group tied up with Israel based Runcom Technologies to offer WiMax mobile broadband and communication services. Plant set up at Bawal in Haryana to manufacture Base stations, CPE, USB Tongs for Broadband Wireless Access and Mobile.

3. BlackBerry may face ban if no solution in 5days On 26th August government made it clear BlackBerry services may be banned if its maker, Research-in-motion fails to provide a monitoring solution. BlackBerry must install server with Indian service provider.

4. Food inflation eases to 10.05% Food price index rose to 10.05% by 14 August against 10.35% in previous week. Fuel price index remained steady at 12.57%.

A-I third largest player in country with 17.3% share , Kingfisher with 20% share and Jet Airways with 26% share is leader in domestic market.

6. Nissan doubles Micra production; order backlog at 2500 units Japanese car major Nissan doubled production of its car Micra to 500 units per day in order to clear backlog of 2500 units. Micra is priced between Rs 3.98 lakhand Rs 5.29 lakh.

7. Religare promoters make open offer for additional 20% stake Religare Enterprises founders Malvinder and Shivinder Singh made an open offer to company shareholders at Rs 457 a share. This will increase their share by 20%. Their stake in company will increse 8.03% to 65.8%.
