Here is a list of the top 5 brands that have benefited from Facebook
marketing and have added a lot to their bank accounts by carrying out effective
campaigns at the same platform.
1. Coca Cola
This cool beverage brand has outdone its social media presence by many points.
The many campaigns it has come up with have bought it a lot of fame and users.
With over 70 million followers on Facebook it has utilised the potential of the
platform to the fullest. Coca Cola campaign, “Stand Out” was launched in 2012
was not a contest based campaign but a way to show how the users had fun with
their friends while having a coke. The campaign was successful in many parts of
the world and was able to bring great laurels for the brand. One of the most
famous social media strategies that they have adopted is updating their cover
picture with photographs submitted by people that show that the drink is not just
for one particular person has 6,654 likes, 838 shares and 812 comments.
Coca Cola is using Facebook as a very important tool and is using it in the most
stylish and trendy way possible to ensure a valuable return from the same.
2. Red Bull
A brand that has gained a sudden outbreak and has strived its way reach at the
top, Red Bull has become one of the most talked about brand on Facebook, it has
39,364,498 likes · 278,314 talking about this which is like major success for the
brand. All its success is owed to the very innovative and creative campaigns that
it has run.
Keeping up with its tagline- Red Bull gives you wings, ‘Red Bull Stratos’ was
a campaign that it started way back in 2010. In this the famous athlete Felix
Baumgartner was taken up to the edge of space, some 120,000 feet above Earth
for a free fall. He was able to break in total three world records and was able to
challenge the speed of sound as well. Now this was something fascinating and
the users talked about it a lot keeping it the topic on fire for a good period of
time. Red Bull has organised many other such campaigns like Red Bull Music
Academy, red Bull x-fighters that have proved to be highly beneficial for the
brand.
3. Oreo
Its creativity is its strongest standing point, Oreo is a brand that has come up with
some of the most innovative ideas that have left its users and fans spellbound.
34,088,214 likes and 195,545 people talking about this, the brand has always
thought out of the box and has done things that reflected their style and
charisma.
In 2012 from 25th
June to 2nd
October the brand came up with whimsical image of
the cookie redesigned to commemorate an event. For the entire time period they
came up with something that better than the previous one. On the 5th
of August
they had half a cookie with red cream and tire track to mark the landing of Mars
Rover. Innovative ain’t it? People and fans would wait each day to witness what
Oreo had for that day. The cookie oriented brand has been a personal favourite
of many and its campaigns have been more famous than the cookie itself.
4. Converse
The brand has become more famous and has a larger fan following than its
parent brand Nike. It all started when the marketing executive of the brand
realized that the brand had 8 million likes and that it could go ahead and do
more. Converse opened up a recording studio in Brooklyn NY, to allow singers to
record free of cost with no strings attached to be a part of the community. Their
key to success in the social media domain is by using bold and stylish statements
that are relevant with their product. With 36,915,842 likes and 36,521 people
talking about this, the marketing manager here knows how it is done.
In the recent times the brand has joint hands with the Vine App offering a cross
country trip for the best Vine on ‘a day in the life of your Converse Sneakers.’ It is
bound to get much appreciation from the society and increase its fan following
further.
5. Playstation
34,741,410 likes and 350,858 people talking about this brand, it is sure to have a
strong social media base with a range of campaigns that have given it an even
stronger user interface. This is one brand that has kept teens glued to their
playstations for long. In such a scenario, an effective campaign takes the brand to
much exceeding heights. Same was the case with this brand. It came up with a
campaign where people could get costumes of their favourite players by placing
an order to their website or the brand’s facebook page. The stock was limited,
fans were in abundance and the outcome was that the brand got in publicity and
fame. The brand also owns a Podcast which has also been a sensation in the
market for long. All this has added up together to make it an impressive brand.
