publicly funded performing arts venues,
alongside the Royal Shakespeare Company
and the Royal Opera House. Internationally,

• The National theatre put on a lot of shows per year. At the moment they
have 22 shows scheduled for the rest of the year and the beginning of
2016. They also have 30 upcoming Learning events and a variety of
different exhibitions.

6. Executive Director – Lisa Burger
Lisa has only recently become National Theatre’s executive director,
however she has previously worked for the company as finance
director in 2001, and chief operating officer in 2010. She now works
along side Tessa Ross, Chief executive and Rufus Norris as director.
7. Deputy Artistic Director- Ben Power
Ben power is the deputy artistic director for National Theatre. His role
means that he works closely along side the artistic director, and assists
to direct productions.
These two roles interact constantly as they work alongside each other.
This is so that they both bring out the best of productions by helping
each other and contributing visually creative ideas about directions,
staging, set, costume and lighting and sound.
