MANAGEMENT Captained a variety of architectural projects such as school laboratory
buildings, school modernizations, grocery store additions / remodels,
retail shell buildings, mid-rise offices, tenant improvements, warehouses,
single and multi-family housing developments, custom estate residences,
residential room addition/remodels, and churches. All included consultant
coordination, project file management, specification coordination, and
some construction administration.
TECHNICAL Drafted architectural design development packages, construction
documents, addenda, and clarifications on CAD. Prepared detailed
building code analysis for various project types including assigning
building occupancy classification and construction types. Determined
occupancy, and or area separation requirements, exterior wall protection,
allowable area and occupant loads. Prepared allowable area
calculations, and exit width calculations. Researched and incorporated
architectural products into projects. Solved architectural, fireproofing and
waterproofing details. Coordinated architectural drawings with consultant
drawings. Edited specification sections including door hardware groups.
Assisted with construction administration including shop drawing and
submittal processing, and clarification generation. Field verified existing
fire & life safety exiting schemes. Field verified existing accessible or
non-accessible conditions.
DESIGN Designed exiting schemes from hallways to corridors to enclosed stair
towers. Designed accessible and non-accessible site parking, drive
aisles, site and building paths of travel. Designed ramps, stairs, toilet

2. rooms, areas of rescue assistance, wheelchair lifts and elevators for
school modernization projects. Design developed various project types in
preparation for construction documents.
QUALITY Helped devised custom CAD production systems for various architectural
ASSURANCE project types. QA systems included an orthographic projection technique
using rotated user coordinate systems within view ports to facilitate the
rapid creation of complex elevations. Helped to create a CSI based detail
library, detail component blocks, a detail sheet preparation technique
based on xreffing pre-bordered & pre-titled details, and working drawing
(.dwt) sheet templates which incorporated pre-loaded symbols, details
and architectural notation pertinent to each sheet.

total dwelling units, elevator, storefront, basically 3 stories of wood frame
construction on a concrete podium. Calculated as 3 separate buildings
for allowable area purposes.

A new 7,600 s.f. hillside custom estate home reflects the architecture of
Carmel. It features decks and terraces that take full advantage of a
panoramic valley view below, swimming pool and croquet lawn.
Nepenthe, Sedona, AZ - Construction Documents
A new 182 unit complex of multi-family town houses comprised of four,
five, and seven unit buildings. Geometric shapes and colors relate to the
Sedona's surrounding red sandstone Bell Mountain which is adjacent to
the site.
Highlands at Clearbrook, Hayward, CA - Construction Documents
2 designs of new single family production housing about 2600 s.f. to
3200 s.f. each. Both designs were for lots with a 2:1 downward slope and
incorporated view decks from both the first and second floors.
