2. Polycom Media Cart:
The Polycom Media Cart is a flexible solution for multiple applications.
The Media Cart has a universal mount which supports a single 37” to
60” display or dual 37” to 42” displays. The secure cabinet has three
interior shelves for equipment or rack mount the equipment with the
optional rack mount kit. The Polycom Media Cart is designed for even
the harshest environments to give you a perfect solution for your most
demanding movable cart requirements.
Objectives in using the Polycom Media Cart in DE:
Because Polycom Media Cart is one of Video conferencing technique so
we can use it in DE as following:
1-To communicate synchronously with student in remote area so the
teacher can present his/her presentation in one screen display and
video while he /she talking in another screen.
2-It has the power to deliver enriched, high definition meeting
experiences whenever, wherever requirements demand.
3-It provide video collaboration among audience.
4-it has
tabletop microphone arrays which enhance verbal
communication.
5-The ability to link with other universities throughout the country.
6- Allows external professionals to deliver lectures.

Wayne State University College of Nursing experience with
Polycom:
The project began when the College of Nursing bought its first
Polycom® RealPresence™ Capture Station solution and brought in
Puente from the business school to help start up a Web and podcasting
program. Within a year, the College had added video conferencing
