This presentation will show my position shift from
being a meat-eater, to becoming a vegetarian,
to returning to eating meat, with a different
perspective.
3. Epigraph

slaughterhouses had glass walls, everyone would
be a vegetarian" (Peters, 2013).

6. The After
For a long time, I was a
vegetarian. My food
consisted in
vegetables, fruits,
breads, rice, pasta,
beans, tofu and other
vegetarian proteins.
7. ...Food Envy!
As a vegetarian, I
could not eat the
same delicious things
my friends and family
were eating!
8. My life as a Vegetarian...
I even got gray hair!
I became very skinny
9. The Change II: Egypt
I spent some time in
Egypt
And I noticed how the
people live off animals
and the land
10. Then and Now!
The ancient Egyptians
used animals
So did our human
ancestors
11. My Position Shifted
I realized that it is not evil to eat and use animals
I realized that it is healthy and natural
What is wrong is the separation from nature and torturing animals
Vs.
13. In Retrospect
I believe in eating healthy proteins, including animals, but I support organic
food and humane farms.
I do not judge meat eaters, or vegetarians, since I understand both
perspectives. However, in my experience, it is good for the body to eat
animal products.
I am very glad I had the experience of being a vegetarian and becoming
a more conscientious eater.
